A mother of two, who finds myself with a lot more weight on me now (nearing 50) than ever before. Yeah, yeah, still have that left over baby fat from a twenty year old baby (laugh). Made it a Half of Century (Still Looking to Transform)

Made it to 50 years old.  Happy Birthday To Me!!  Though I'm glad to make it here (a 1/2 of Century Old), I am still awaiting my transformation.  I know it takes hard work and dedication but sometimes it gets hard to do just that.  My hard work seems to leave with the easy way out and my dedication blows away with frustration.  However, aa long as I'm living and breathing it's never too late to make a commitment and achieve my goals. 

So with that in stead of making a birthday wish, I choose to make a birthday resolution and goal.  Work to loose at least 10 more pds before Thanksgiving!!  I know, I know; just in time to gain all I've lost right back with all the fried chicken, turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes and loaded greens galore! (lol)  On the real tip, I don't truly plan on over endulging during Thanksgiving Dinner and I encourage all of those who are striving as well to loose weight or reach a weight goal to stay strong, too.  Make good choices over the next couple of months! 

One trick I will try to achieve this time is to eat the veggies first and fill up on veggies and a water and then go to the rest of the dinner and eat in rounds.  The challenge is and will always be to actually heed the fullnees mechanism we each possess...once I feel that full point, STOP EATING -- STOOOOP EATTTTING!!  This will be the challenge; to actually control the mind and stop when the body is screaming for relief.  I usually do the opposite and over indulge, during this time or season, howver, after writing this note to myself and viewing my fault in black and white, I believe I Can, Yes, I Can!  Sometimes writing down your faults and actually facing the raw facts is the best medicine to help you achieve!

Finding It Hard To Take The Time

This week was not the best for my exercise regimen.  I know I've got to get better with just making the time to exercise.  Those 5:00 a.m. pushes have kinda of played out for me for now.  But as I write this to myself, it is motivating me to continue.  Sometimes the best remedy to any problem is to actually write it down and stare the problem dead in the eyes!  When you do that you truly see the issue or problem and act on it or just sit and let it consume you.  Hey, I'm not letting this consume me, so with that, I think I will get up and do my exercises right now and quit complaining.

***SUNDAY REJUVENATION - CHECK YOURSELF!!***

In keeping with the Sunday theme, which is the Lord's Day, I must give God the Praise and say," Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me; for thou art my strength,".  Sometimes we are our own enemy!  I know I am my own enemy when I don't control myself.  Yeah, I know I look like I've got it all together but sometimes, what I would rather do, (which is the right thing), I don't do it!  You may say what does this have to do with loosing weight?  For me it has a great deal to do with loosing weight...and it is called self control or temperance.  The control we need comes from with in and from up above!  No other person can make us have self-control.   Control, (not to over eat or smoke when you know you are trying to quit, or any goal, for that matter, that one may set), is interrupted by what you want, instead of you need.  Yes, I wanted another plate of food today, but did I really need it?  Absolutely Not!!  Thanks be to God, that I did not indulge in that error today.

But there are days when I listen to the alter ego and indulge in that second plate knowing full well that I don't need it.  I wish there were some type of automatic mechanism that helps you turn off the want factor and stops one from indulging in the desires you know are not edifying for you.

In my case, there is one that can truly initiate that type of mechanism for me...my beloved husband.  When he says", (looking with disgust), You are eating another plate?", I truly can turn off the want factor really quickWhen I hear those words from him, it makes me feel so, so indecent!  I compare the feeling I get when he says those words, to the time I was dressed up from head to toe at a restaurant.  I went to the ladies room only to come back with my skirt unzipped in the back!!   When an unknown man says, you have on RED underwear??  I felt like I was tarred and feather in a public square, as I turn around and he's pointing to my backside and exclaims, your zipper is unzipped.  I thought someone kill me now!...put me out of my misery!...I was so humiliated!  Actually, humiliated is an under statement.  Someone literally had to tell me that my zipper was open in the back?  You would think I would have known that tit bit of information, when I felt a little more breeze on my backside, I should have checked myself then!!  And now, when it comes to that second plate, I need to say No to that urge, not because my husband bullied me to trigger that cutoff mechanism.  I need to use the senses God gave me!   And, check myself and not indulge in that seconf plate for the improvement of myself for me!

Yes, I got another weigh win today.  Weighed myself and finally I am under 180lbs.  Yes, yes, I know those who see me everyday are probably saying, I don't look like I weigh more than 160 but pounds can hide!!  I am so excited as I haven't been under 180 in who knows when.  Yea me!

Eating is Back Online!!

Back online with the eating today!  Salads are the way to the weight loss world...had a vinegarette dressing with romaine lettuce, walnuts, cranberries and grilled chicken...WOW! is all I can say, it was an awesome combination.  I think I'll have the same thing tomorrow!   Though the salad sounds greatand was good, the benefits I received from eating the salad truly makes me appreciate eating it even more.  After eating it, I felt great, I had a ton of energy, I could do anything!!   After eating this salad I felt like running a 5K track nonstop!!.  NOT!!   But still the same I felt great all day.  It's a wander to me, how one good things leads to another.

When you are real hungry

You know when you are really hungry you tend to eat more?  Today, I am guity as charged and now I am regretting it with all of my stomach!  I've got to get me a scale to weigh my food.  To think my first mind was cut the meat in half and eat half and let someone else have the rest.  And then, my altar ego said just eat it, it was baked in oven??  Thus, I didn't pay attention to my first mind.  Now, I am paying for it!  I am too stuffed for words!  I think my stomach has shrank it doesn't hold as much as it used to before I started watching what eat and how much ate.  But today marks a sad,sad day for me mentally.  I feel like the guy on the Biggest Loser who went home for the two week leave and his family had a feast of Fried Chicken Wings and he endulged and lost the weigh in challenge on the next show.  Yeah, it's hard to resist fried chicken for a lot of us, especially me!

Still Making My Way

Still trucking along with the program.  Water was definitely my friend today, wow was I thirsty today!  It is only due to the increased exercise I did today.  Usually don't do much exercise at all but today it was easier.  Watched TV while I walked on the tread.  Those who are blessed to have weight equipment in their home should always take advantage because it is truly an advantage over the rest of us.

Is eating salads really as boring for others as it is for me?  I know it the healthy way but sometimes it's the boring way too. 

Overall today though I ate sensibly as they say and I'll probably weigh myself at the end of the week.  They say don't way yourself too often.

I have been trying to cut down on my meat intake.  Believe it or not I ate only sardines and crackers for dinner and I wasn't even hungry.  Wow. 

It's been encouraging to keep up the fight since more people have commented on my weight lose.  Actually, it more encouraging that I ever thought it would be.  Usually, when I seem to start loosing weight, most people tell me that I look like I've been putting on weight!  That really sucks and I get a little discouraging.  I usually think what's the use?  But for the last two months it has been most noticeable and I am loving it. 

Thank you Glorie for the organic coffee it has done more for me than exercise and dieting for last year  in just two months!
